Joan goes Under The Hammer

Todays item is a copy of the auction catalogue from the 2015 Julien's Auction  This is a lovely item and I was pleased to add it to the collection last year .  It is a glossy publication showcasing the 301 lots that Joan decided to part with from her personal collection.
The catalogue features fantastic pictures of Joan along with notes about each item.  The scan shows the front and back covers of the catalogue.

 

Joan's fashion and Dynasty gowns have always generated plenty of questions on the blog over the years so if anyone has a question relating to the contents of the catalogue please by all means drop me a message.

On the Newstand Today!!

For those of you familiar with my blog a popular feature was On The Newstand that featured magazines from my collection from the 1950's to the present day with Joan on the cover.

Today while out shopping I came across the latest issue of Woman's Weekly featuring Joan on the cover.  In readiness for Joan's new film, The Time Of Their Lives which opens in cinema's from 10th March, the magazine features a fantastic 2 page article entitled. The Blog Is Back !!!!

Hello its hard to believe that my blog has been off line for nearly 3 years.  During that time I have moved house twice which meant packing all the collection up and now a large part is still in storage in 2 different locations.
Thanks to everyone who continued to e-mail me with questions and those who visited the website (that is currently going through a makeover too) and there's been lots happening and still lots to feature ...... so lets start off with todays post.

Kate O'Mara Dies - 30th March 2014

Very sad to hear the news that Kate O'Mara who starred in Dynasty as Caress Morrell sister of Alexis (Joan Collins) has died today following a short illness, age 74.




I was fortunate to meet her when she appeared at our local theatre in plays, 'The Ghost Train' and Agatha Christie's 'The Hollow'. She was a great actress, RIP.

Timeless Beauty comes to Joan Collins Collection

Having watched and recorded all of Joan's appearances on QVC this week for the archives at Joan Collins Collection, I was pleased that my order of her 'I AM WOMAN Signature Duo has arrived.

The perfume is well presented in the box case and looks very classy,  just as one would expect from Joan.  It is exactly as described on the QVC shows and makes a wonderful addition to the collection.

 It now joins the other perfumes launched and endorsed by Joan, namely Scoundrel and Spectacular.
