Today's picture is from Dynasty Season 7, the late John Forsythe and Joan in the 2 part episode, "A Love Remembered".
Fans will recall this episode where last minute Ben rescues Blake who had been trapped under a steel beam on the oil rig. Blake and Ben narrowly escape the explosion, but Blake suffers amnesia and can only remember the year is 1964, and his wife Alexis.
So in true Alexis style (what else?) she tells the doctors at the Singapore hospital she is indeed Mrs Carrington and sets her sights on regaining half of the South China Sea Oil Leases back to her name.
This picture was also used as a promotion for the series on an American poster which I will add to the advertising section of the website. I think it was a great storyline, especially the part towards the end of the next episode when Blake recovers and realises he is married to Krystle and Alexis watches from the balcony of the villa has lost him, and it was just "A Love Remembered".

This one of Joan as The Siren(AKA.Lorelei Circe)in episode 97 is with Robin the Boy Wonder who was played by Burt Ward in the series.
The other pictures are from the previous episode, "Ring Around The Ridler", with Frank Gorshin as Riddler and Peggy Ann Garner as Betsy Boldface.

TV Adverts - Dynasty DVD
Todays post is this Dynasty advert for Season 1 and 2's release on DVD. Here in the UK we are eagerly awaiting the release of Season 7, hopefully it won't be too long.
Following on from yesterday's post of film adverts, which have been quite popular - thanks to those of you who sent e-mails. I'll also be adding a series of adverts to the website for Television Shows that Joan has appeared in/guest starred in.
Visitors to the site will know there is already a page dedicated to all the Dynasty adverts from US TV Guides that I have collected over the years.

NEW - Film Adverts
Recently while sorting through my collection, I came across this film advert for Rally Round The Flag Boys and thought it should be added to the site. These adverts appeared in magazines of the 1950's to 1980's including Films in Review, Photoplay, Film Review and Picturegoer, which is where I believe this one came from.
I went through some of these old publications and also found a seller on Ebay (thanks Ian!!) who deals in these and have recently purchased from him and will be adding those on the site very soon.

Dynasty Daily - The Court of Queen Joan
In Season 8 of the series, there was an episode called "The Fair" in which Alexis decides to hold an Olde English Fair.
This first picture shows Joan in costume as Elizabeth I, before the tug-of-war contest she has with Krystle, which sees Alexis falling face first into the vat of mud.
The second rarily seen picture is from the same episode, Alexis announces the highlight of the evening will be a film of Blake and Krystle touring a rehabilitation centre, however it just so happens that the film has been edited with excerpts of Blake's visits to a brothel ran by Cora Van Heusen.
I'm certain I have pictures of the tug-of-war contest and will feature them in a future post.

Spanish Poster - Girl In The Red Velvet Swing.
The majority of the foreign posters of films Joan made in the 1950's differ from the English and American designs, often with more vibrant colours, and designs similar to the foreign lobby cards I have featured in previous posts.
This is the Spanish poster for 'The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing' which starred Ray Milland and Farley Granger.
