The majority of the foreign posters of films Joan made in the 1950's differ from the English and American designs, often with more vibrant colours, and designs similar to the foreign lobby cards I have featured in previous posts.
This is the Spanish poster for 'The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing' which starred Ray Milland and Farley Granger.

Dynasty Daily
Most of the e-mails I receive from fans and people round the world at some stage usually ask the same question, "What do you collect of Joan?". The answer is "most things" and they cannot believe when I tell them how the collection which started with a serialisation from a National newspaper on the eve of Joan's 50th birthday back in 1983 has grown to what you see and more on the website.
I received an e-mail some weeks ago from someone who had come across the site asking if I could do a blog feature of Dynasty photos featuring Joan.
The answer would be "Yes"
Today's is a rather unusual picture of Joan with Linda during their first catfight in Alexis' studio. As you can see Alexis would grab anything to throw at Krystle - no vase remained safe when these two came to blows .....

"NEW" Daily Picture - Pacific Palisades
Today I am featuring a picture of Joan as Christina Hobson with co-star Lucky Vanous (Matt Dunning) from the short-lived 1997 series Pacific Palisades.
The series which was axed after 13 episodes also starred Finola Hughes, who fans will remember starred alongside Joan in the film Nutcracker. Other cast members included Greg Evigan and Kimberley Davies.
I will be adding more photos from the series to the website and blog soon.

New Arrivals
Apologies to everyone about the lack of posts for the last 3 weeks - as previously mentioned with a full time job its not easy to keep this and the website running. However, I have started to sort through the collection again and will be adding a NEW ARRIVALS page to the site allowing me to highlight new items in the collection. After a period of time they will be moved to their respective pages of the website.
Today I am featuring this item which I obtained this week - it is a window advert from America for the film 'The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing' and I have to say I've not seen this style of advert before. It measures approx. 11"x4". Others I have in the collection are full size and colour so this was a nice addition.

On The Newstand - 21 September 1985
This magazine, Le Lundi from 1985 was another magazine that regularly featured Joan on its cover.
This one is with her youngest daughter, Katyana (Katy). Inside is the cover photo plus other black & white photos across a 3 page article, "Comment J'ai Sauve Ma Fille De La Mort" which translated is about Katy's accident which Joan later wrote about in a book "Katy, A Fight For Life".

On The Newstand - 20 September 1986
Between 1982 and 1987 Joan appeared on the cover of this Australian magazine 16 times, and 15 of those were full cover.
As Joan will soon be heading 'down under' with her one woman show, lets hope she can grace the cover of Australian magazines once again.
The article in this issue was about her marriage breakdown to her husband at the time, Peter Holm, "Joan weeps as hubby walks out".
I will feature other covers in this magazines series in future posts on the blog.
