On The Newstand - 26th February
Staying with Sins from yesterday's post - this German magazine, Freizeit Revue would have been for sale on newstands in Germany with Joan, full cover as Helene Junot from the mini series, Sins.
Inside was a 1 1/2 page article about her then divorce from husband no. 4, Peter Holm.
On The Newstands - 25th February
There were 2 magazines in the archives that would have been on sale on 25th February. The first is a UK magazine no longer in print, called Celebrity.
Although Joan was not featured full cover, the article inside this weekly publication was about a tremor that hit the set of Dynasty while Joan was filming Season 8 with James Healey (Sean Rowan).
The second magazine from 1989 was from France and called Tele Z and featured Joan on the cover as Helene Junot in the mini series, Sins.

On the Newstands - 14th February 1987
The magazines section of my website continues to be popular with fans searching for covers that Joan has appeared on over the years. I have featured this a couple of times on the blog, and with many more covers in the archives I thought why not start the post again.
So today it's back 25 years to 1987 and a copy of the English magazine 'Woman' featuring Joan on the cover from the mini series Sins, wearing the Golden Ball costume.
Check out tomorrow's post to see what magazine was on the newstands.

Daily Picture - James Farentino and Joan
Thanks to the people who e-mailed me with news that James Farentino passed away Tuesday 24th January 2012. To my knowledge there had been nothing on the news or in the tabloids.
Dynasty fans will remember him as Dr Nicholas Toscanni in Dynasty (1982) as pictured below.
The second picture today from my collection is James as David Westfield when he appeared in the mini-series 'Sins' with Joan.
He also appeared in ER, Melrose Place, a TV Movie I own but have never seen, called The Naked Lie with Victoria Principal. In the 60's he appeared in Naked City, 77 Sunset Strip and Route 66.
From 1966 - 1982 he was married to the actress Michele Lee from Knot's Landing. Age 73 at the time of his death, he leaves 2 sons David and Saverio and his widow Stella. Our thoughts are with his family, RIP David.

JContheCover(s) - News of the World Magazines 1985 - 1988
As mentioned in yesterday's post, in the 80's the News of the World newspaper regularly featured Joan on the cover of their magazine supplement, "Sunday". Yesterday, I featured the first in my collection, from 1984 - here are the other 5 as a tribute to the newspaper.
This first one from July 1985 was to promote the new mini series, Sins that Joan was producing and starring in. It featured an adaptation of the book by Judith Gould with pictures of Joan and the cast throughout.
The June 8, 1986 issue featured Joan as Madame Du Pompadour her choice of costume for the Masquerade party where Alexis brings Ben Carrington (Christopher Cazenove) back to Denver (Dynasty Season 6).
It was back to the mini series for the August 10, 1986 issue of the magazine, and the picture of Joan from Monte Carlo based on the novel by Stephen Sheppard. Inside was a 2 page article with pictures from the production.
The 1987 issue, dated February 8 featured an article about Joan's daughter Katy and her then divorce from husband number 4 - Peter Holm.
The last issue that I have in my collection was from November 1988 and featured Joan on the cover in Dynasty scenes with co-star Michael Nader (Dex Dexter). Inside a 1 1/2 page article, "I've Spent All My Life Trying to Please Men" about her marriages and then news and pictures from a forthcoming episode of Dynasty.
Thank you News of the World for some great covers of Joan over the years.

TV: SINS

Joan lead an all-star cast, in the six hour mini-series SINS about one woman's struggle to the top of a fashion publishing empire and her ongoing battle to stay there. Filmed in Paris, the Riviera and Venice, SINS was broadcast during the 1985-86 season on the CBS Television Network.
Based on the International Bestseller by Judith Gould - the book cover is shown on the right.
It aired in the UK in 1987 over three nights starting on Sunday 6th September. This magazine cover is one of many I have for the mini-series, plus more photos to be featured in the coming months.
